The 1966 Tasman Series

The third year of the Tasman Championship consisted of four races in New Zealand and four in Australia.
By this stage the Tasman Cup was more and more being regarded as a sort of junior or little world championship. All of the major tyre manufacturers and several oil companies used the series for intense testing of new rubber and formulas for the upcoming 3 Litre Formula 1 billed as the "Return To Power"
The Scoring system was calculated by the Drivers best three results in each country.
